The webinar will analyze the tax basis of investment assets that are purchased, gifted, inherited, received in divorce and explain the tax treatment of bonds purchased at par, at a premium or at a discount, as well as original issue discount bonds. Upon completion of this series the attendee will know the special treatment accorded to tax-exempt bonds and be able to describe Treasury obligations and their tax treatment. The attendees will also be able to recognize the tax treatment of income from these various types of bonds and apply netting concept of gains and losses. Lastly, the webinar explains how to advise clients regarding cryptocurrency investment transactions.
