Founded in 2013 by John Sheeley, EA, Tax Practice Pro was created to provide tax professionals with high-quality continuing education (CE), continuing professional education (CPE), and expert guidance—resources John wished had been available throughout his own career. Starting from his extensive experience in the industry, including 13 years as a multi-unit franchisee of a national tax firm and 5 years as a tax manager at a regional CPA firm, John recognized the need for flexible, accessible learning that could fit the demanding schedules of modern tax practitioners.

Today, Tax Practice Pro delivers live webinars, on-demand courses, and year-round support, with over 150 hours of new content added in 2020 alone. Its membership model allows tax professionals to access courses anytime, ensuring they can learn what they need, when they need it—without restrictions.

Dan Henn

Dan Henn is a seasoned Tax Professional, Financial Coach, Entreprenuer, and Speaker who is basedin Rockledge, Florida (Space Coast). He is also the author of “No Holds Barred, Candid Talk About Small Business Success In Florida,” and “41 Dangerous IRS Tax Red Flags” which is now available on Amazon. He is a former columnist with the Florida Today for over 10 years. Dan is co-founder of the Tax Resolution Academy® and the founder of Daniel Henn, CPA, PAOriginally from Land O’ Lakes, FL, Dan’s love of the industry began during college. During his business studies, Dan quickly discovered his knack for numbers. This ultimately paved the path to his present career, where he is infinitely dedicated to helping people (especially new business owners) save money and expand their business. In addition to saving on taxes, Dan strives to protect his valued clients from the IRS so they can sleep better at night. Throughout the span of three decades, Dan has gained extensive hands-on expertise in taxation, IRS Representation (Collections and Exam) and business tax planning. Today, he serves as a Certified Public Accountant and Tax Advisor at Daniel Henn, CPA, PA. He is also a frequent trainer of other licensed tax professionals in the area of IRS Representation through the Tax Resolution Academy®.When Dan was a young and budding tax professional, he had the unfortunate incident of seeing a family member go to jail over unfiled and unpaid taxes. At the time, having just graduated 2 years earlier from college, his knowledge and experience left him helpless to assist in the defense. This is why he is an advocate to teach other tax pros how to help people get out of some bad tax situations. Prior to his current ventures, Dan was a Supervisory Senior of Tax with KPMG, LLP in St. Petersburg and Orlando and a Tax Manager with Berman Hopkins Wright & LaHam, CPAs, LLP in Melbourne. Furthermore, Dan holds a Bachelor of Science Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of South Florida.

David graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2001 and spent 20 years as a knight at Medieval Times before swapping his sword for a calculator in 2009. These days, instead of defending castles, he defends taxpayer rights, representing clients before the IRS and other agencies with over 25 years of management and customer service experience.A champion of tax professionals, David loves mentoring and teaching, sharing strategies to help others thrive in the industry. His passion for service has seen him volunteer for nearly every leadership role in the California Society of Enrolled Agents, proving once you’re in, you’re never really out—even as Immediate Past President.As Director of Tax at Chatterton and Associates, Inc., David channels this same energy into guiding a team of tax professionals. When not riding to clients’ rescue, he enjoys time with his wife, Patricia, their three kids, and their golden retriever, Montana.

Deltrease’s extensive training in the field of Tax Resolution allows her to lend her expertise to not only her clients, but also to other tax professionals and attorneys across the United States.Prior to going into private practice full-time, Deltrease spent over 10 years in accounting and finance departments at the corporate level for various Fortune 500 companies. While full-time in Corporate America, she also spent 10 years part-time preparing taxes and teaching for the largest retail tax preparation company in the U.S. She earned her BS in Accounting from South Carolina State University and MS in Taxation from Strayer University. She is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for real estate investing. She’s a frequent speaker on tax and small business topics where she shares her expertise and real-life experience with her peers of other tax professionals, real estate investors and small business owners. Deltrease is also an adjunct accounting professor, podcaster and small business advocate. She is a governor appointed board member of the South Carolina Board of Accountancy. In her spare time, she enjoys watching NBA games (preferably attending live) with her husband and playing Sudoku.

Donna Byrne

Donna first encountered tax issues as a teenage forestry major in a forest economics course at Oregon State University. A few educational twists and turns eventually led her to Temple Law School in Philadelphia, where she discovered her passion for tax law. She joined the tax section of a large Philadelphia law firm, Morgan Lewis, and was quickly recruited to serve as an adjunct law professor—launching a 23-year full-time teaching career.

She now holds the title of Emerita Professor of Law at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN, where she taught tax courses as well as Property, Estates and Trusts, and Food Law. (Emerita signifies she left on good terms and remains respected by the institution.) Donna began preparing tax returns as a volunteer long before computers were common in the office. Today, she owns Ash Creek Tax & Legal Services LLC in Monmouth, Oregon, providing tax preparation, estate planning, and taxpayer representation since 2016.

Frank Agostino is one of the most accomplished tax controversy attorneys in the country, with more than four decades of litigation experience and a string of landmark victories that have reshaped IRS enforcement and Tax Court procedure — including Commissioner v. Zuch before the U.S. Supreme Court (2025) and Chai v. Commissioner in the Second Circuit (2017).

Because of Frank’s stellar reputation in the tax bar, he has been ranked in Chambers in Band 1 for Tax: Fraud Nationwide (USA) and in Band 1 for High Net Worth Private Client: Tax.

A former IRS District Counsel attorney and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, Frank has also taught tax controversy at Seton Hall and Rutgers Law, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Journal of Tax Practice and Procedure.

Heather is an Associate Attorney in the Tax Controversy and Tax Advisory practice groups at Frost Law, where she co-chairs the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. She is also an Enrolled Agent and a fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute, with over a decade of experience in tax compliance and controversy on the federal and state levels for individuals and small businesses. She has represented clients in a wide variety of cases, including collection enforcement defense, examination defense, Trust Fund Recovery Penalties, penalty abatements, and innocent spouse relief requests before various IRS units and state revenue agencies.

Heather is a passionate volunteer with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS) Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, and earned the "Young Volunteer of the Year" award in 2020. Most recently, the Taxation Section of the Maryland State Bar Association recognized Heather with the J. Ronald Shiff Memorial Pro Bono Award in 2025. In her free time, Heather enjoys traveling, off-roading, and swimming.
